More Law Trouble for Baylor

Wow! Briles should never be allowed to coach or teach at any level. Baylor deserves the death penalty. NCAA is chicken $h!t and wont do anything. This makes me sick!

What is the NCAA waiting for? Haven't we seen enough? If there is any program that deserves the death penalty, it's this one.
i doubt baylor gets the death penalty if penn state didn't get the death penalty
Penn St scandal once it went public, Penn State did the right thing to clean house / fix the problem.

SMU scandal once it went public, thumbed their nose at the NCAA and continued to pay players, even the governor of Texas at the time was involved.

Baylor is somewhere in between, I feel. Officially they cleaned house on the admin side, but the rats are still infesting the ship.

The death penalty is specifically reserved for repeat offender schools, which Baylor sadly isn't. Hopefully, at the very least, Art Briles goes to prison.

NCAA is loath to implement death penalty in D1 football/basketball. If you look at non-D1 death penalties, it also includes willful patterns of wrongdoing or specifically egregious behavior... The reason stated for PSU not getting it was they took corrective action.

As it has been discussed the last several years, the threshold for "repeat offender" can be retroactive. In 2015 school did X, investigation in 2016 finds school also did X in 2014, & 2013. Under current interpretation, that would satisfy the repeat offender rule for the death penalty but the measure for D1 is whether the school is taking appropriate corrective action.

The hubris of Briles, his family and assistants is amazing. Remember all the indignant tweets, public statements and denials? Briles and those around him truly believed that they weren't doing anything wrong. Remember the asst coach pulling Brenda Tracey aside after her talk? Brainwashed.

Baylor's women's basketball coach, a female, won her 500th game and in the post game speech on the court denounced any one critical of Baylor's athletic program and suggested that Baylor fans should hit any critic in the face.

Wacko - coach

I can see how it would be in her own interest to have this go away. Other schools can ask recruits "Do you really want to go to Baylor and get raped?"
