Spring Practice - Tight Ends

McNitt working with Tight Ends.

The move back to TE has been widely speculated, though it seems like in this non-pad practice it was mostly passing game work so not necessarily conclusive.

Do we know if Stoll is at a full go this spring? Didn't he miss a large chunk of the fall (or all of it) due to some injury?

Tight end Tyler Hoppes. No. 1 tight end and a fair lock to stay that way, Hoppes is a great story of a local kid who walked on after a year at Wayne State. Nebraska has a lot of tight end bodies, and Hoppes has one. That’s one position Mike Riley should be able to recruit well.

There are 3-4 names of tight ends who have shown they can play (Hoppes, Stoll, Snyder, and even Engelhaupt making some catches). Plenty of good competition going into the summer and optimism about what this group could become.

Do the guys already here have enough skill/depth to have Rafdal and Allen redshirt? Those two obviously have taller frames but have no idea if they'll be looking to crack a line up here next year.
