I hope one of the younger guys in the middle can replace Young as a starter.

I would say weber, but would be nice to see some good depth bc those guys are going to be involved in some hits throughout the year.

Weber will start at one inside LB. Not sure if anyone can supplant Young. I'm not impressed by Young, there just has to be some of the underclass men that has to step up.

i think both weber and young are limited athletically but i would trust weber more to take on blocks to free up others to make plays. Thats why i would like the guy playing next to weber to be a more athletic play maker.

Young played a good portion of the year banged up. You could tell he couldn't move like he was earlier in the year. He is plenty athletic to play inside. Barry is probably the most athletic of the group but most consistent will play. Hope Barry keeps raising his game.

Can't ask much more from Avery at this point. To get that kind of praise at a position with that much competition at this early stage seems pretty huge.

Can't say enough positive things about Trent Bray. Guy is a flat out star. Think about how far our LB'ers have come in the past 2 years. Remarkable stuff.

I believe Newby had been the #1 guy at Field. Davis has usually been the #1 at Boundary.

So is it safe to say that linebacker has almost as much depth as the Secondary? I am quite pleased with what I am hearing from this group, Diaco and Bray coaching em up can only help them too.

The spring usually doesn't have the injuries that the fall has, so people are confident in the depth and think the unproven guys are World-beaters.

nah bra, linebackers were a liability last year. Now the first year he did fine. Last year they were flat out beat numerous times in the flat and hook zone. Not sure what was up...but they straight up sucked in coverage last year.

I like coach Bray, but he's not the second coming of anything. I'm looking for the LB's to make a major jump this year....specifically Mo Barry...I've been high on him since we got him as a recruit.

What was up was we were running a scheme that kept the LBs in no-man's-land.
