Minny allows a run to score on a balk, of all things, so it's now 8-1 Pur-f******-due with two outs.

And Minny just hit the next batter, so runner on first now. The wheels are coming off for Minny in this game. And as I just typed that, Minny threw the HBP batter out stealing second.

Going to the Bottom of the 8th now, 8-1 Pur-f******-due

Boilermakers just put in a former starting pitcher to close things out (Schumaker) who's been shaky in the past per the Boilermaker PbP folks.

Minny goes down 1-2-3 yet again, headed to the Top of the 9th 8-1 Boilermakers.

Northwestern beat Rutgers today, final game starts today. Northwestern punches their ticket to the B1G Tourney with a win. That leaves the Boilermakers (most likely 12-11, one game remaining) and Michigan State (10-12, two games remaining) to fight for the last spot.

And Minny hits the first Boilermaker batter in the Top of the 9th. They'll be interesting to watch tonight and next week...but probably not in a good way.
