When they first started to get really popular I was convinced it was just a fad, I was totally sure that people would NOT want to have a freaking phone with them 24/7.

 
When I was a kid video games were for kids and I thought people would just grow out of them as they got older. I thought video games for adults was a terrible idea.

 
When I was a kid, I thought Garbage Pail Kids were going to be the biggest thing ever and be more valuable than baseball cards. Turned out, neither one of those things have much value any more.

If we're going that far back, I thought the exhaust (I guess?) From planes was how clouds were made.

That is funny, I thought they came from the big smoke stacks I saw on the buildings in Chicago.

 
For the longest time I thought the lyrics were "bald headed woman, bald beaded woman to me..." for the Bee Gees song More Than A Woman.
