Still just a kid who happens to play on the Nebraska football team, a team who has some holier(sp) than thou fans...I'm sure Coach Callahan will handle it. We've had other players who have done way worse than this.

HE will not be suspended, nor should he be.

I don't have the team rule book in front of me, but don't you think that he violated at least one tiny rule? I'm thinking 'yes' and that he will be disciplined somehow. One or two games is my guess....but who knows.

I am not privvy to the team rules, but Purify had the fortuitousness (sp?) of doing this eons away from a football season. There are several conflicting repots to his fight at the bars, and DUI's often go away for people of influence if they have good advice. No one was hurt, everyone was hammering the panic button when there was a possibility that he would miss games, and now its all going away. Move on.

my prediction, 10 quarters of action will be missed, a nice even number so it sounds nice.... He will miss some of that USC game, but will be back for the second half, ready to prove himself.

And for 60 days, Purify will have to have a device attached to his car ignition that will make sure he is sober before he can start the car.

Doesn't he lose his licence for the DWI infraction, so that should not be a problem
