I don't know if this has already been posted or not and maybe this is in the wrong forum

but anyway I think they should leave it how it is because no matter what somebody gets screwed

What I really think should be done is get rid of all the conferences. Create 4 new conferences North,South,East and West consisting of 10 teams in each lets just say the top 40 schools year in and year out. Eliminate all cupcake games so every team can play each other within division. At the end of the season the 4 teams with the best record face off for the Championship in the fiesta and orange bowl with the championship in the rose bowl. the sugar can be rotated with the fiesta and orange.

The remaining 36 teams can face off in all the other meaningless bowls. Drop the 60 or so division 1 teams to DivisionII because in reality 90% of them are never really in contention for anything.

It'll take a lot to get rid of the bowl games. There's just WAY too much money involved with 'em. By saying a playoff and keeping the bowls, you think the Rose/Fiesta/Sugar/Orange are just going to drop the idea of hosting the N.C. every 4 years? Your always going to have contraversy and always going to have someone that gets screwed. Making a playoff just screws the teams 17-20. Why shouldn't they make it?

I think they should keep all the bowls, but use the BCS bowls as their playoff bowls. Rotate the BCS bowls like they do now with the title game played in a rotating fashion. Like mentioned before, there is no way with all the money that comes from bowls that they'll ever be abolished. When the BCS was formed, there wasn't supposed to ever be a tie for NC again. Well, it's happened. I would still really like to see a playoff if for no other reason to have just one NC.

I think you would lose a lot of the rivalry if you created such super conferences. I voted for the 16 team format. I would like to add one other qualification. To be eligible for the playoffs, each team's out of conference games would have to be against Div 1 clubs, no D II cupcakes like Western Carolina, etc.

I voted for the 4 team format. I truely believe that if we go to a 16 game system and change the conferences around we will loose the College football "feel". What I mean by that is each game will not be so important, the energy just won't be the same. All teams will start doing what we don't like to see with BC; they will start playing not to loose. They won't take as many chances.

As much as I want to see a playoff I don't want to loose the fun and energy of College football. I recognize of course there would be a new energy with the playoffs, I just don't think it would be the same during the regular season.

I really don't think you would lose rivalry many of those would stay in tact within region and think of how many more would be created due to the intensity of having to be number 1 in the division being that there wold be no more conference championship games. Every week there wold be awesome match ups.
