yup... we continue to slide to irrelevancy. So now we're just another game on that Saturday vs being the showcase on Friday.
Can't blame them, we haven't held up our end of the bargain.

Minnesota fans will be the mostupset about that change. This means Minnesota vs Wisconsin the last week of the year is no more. Rivalry, LOL
They had moved to having games that weekend anyway. The Game has been played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving since at least the year we joined.I also think that the Big Ten is resistant to have Black Friday games at all.
Before the season expanded to 12 games, they ended their season before Thanksgiving, and Nebraska-Iowa was only played on that Friday because NU had traditionally played on that day.
That was due to the season being expanded to 12 games, as I had posted. They had moved to having games that weekend anyway. The Game has been played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving since at least the year we joined.
Just told all the Gopher fans in my office. Their response; "Meh"Minnesota fans will be the mostupset about that change.
I read it as we were the only ones to play after Thanksgiving. My bad. That was due to the season being expanded to 12 games, as I had posted.

It's all good. The B1G had always been reluctant to change, and it definitely cost them when Ohio State was smoked by Florida.I read it as we were the only ones to play after Thanksgiving. My bad.
I know B1G fans had wanted to play longer anyway, and it was talked about after OSU got drubbed by Florida when they had almost 60 days off between games.
