Huskers -6.5

Anyone else think this seems low? Illinois O is terrible. Maybe it being at home and them coming off a bye is the main factor?
Their offense may be bad but has it allowed more points then their defense the last two weeks like ours? I wouldn't touch it at 6.5 on their field.

Lot of bitching about the big red and how terrible they are and then we see a line that is single digits and then more bitching that it isn't higher - some must like to b!^@h.....

It continues to blow my mind how optimistic our fan base is. We don't look good. We have pretty big issues on both sides of the ball and once we play a team with some real talent, it's going to get exposed.

I'm fully expecting another nail biter versus a bottom-tier opponent. It's pretty sad, honestly.

What would you prefer?

Realistic.

Edit: I prefer to be realistic. Maybe I'm being a bit pessimistic. I could not care less about the faith other people have. More power to them. But don't blow a bunch of smoke up my a$$ and expect me to hop on board.

Me and like 8 of my friends (Okay, dudes that I know that probably hate me) were at the game at Illinois two years ago.  That morning the weather was so odd and the line just kept dropping and dropping...finally it got to the point where it seemed like an easy cover so me and my buddy loaded up...you know the result.  That is when I knew that MR and langs were morons.  It was so windy, cold and rainy that day...yet they kept throwing

I don't think you understood the point of the discussion, but thanks for the insight.

I wouldn't touch this line at all. Then again, I wouldn't touch any of them, so don't listen to me.

Home dog

Lopsided scheduling

Friday night game

Nebraska has covered the spread once, Oregon of all games

Both teams have highly erratic, and therefore unpredictable, QB play.

Both teams promise to stay with said QBs, though Illinois has at least played their backup.

Plenty of question marks all around, still think we cover. But I thought that about ArkSt and NIU as well. Steering clear for now.

I've always said I wouldn't bet on any Husker games, then I did vs ArkSt and NIU..... and wish I didn't.

I was able to snag U 49.5.  Seeing how it's at 46.5/47 now makes me feel warm and tingly inside.
