Bill Moos named AD

The thing that is bugging me about this hire is why, why would Moos want to leave his alma mater at the age of 67 and jump into the cauldron at Nebraska? I don’t think he needs the money. Doesn’t strike me as the type of guy that needs to make a name for himself. I  can’t figure out what’s in it for him. Anybody got any sensical explanation?

Shulz, Washington state's president, didnt renew his contract.  Apparently their President doesn't want to spend the money (Washington state fans don't seem happy with shulz)

Why do we keep hiring people from the PAC12? They are insignificant at best compared to all the other power five leagues. The only person I would take from that league is Scott Frost who is a product of Tom Osborne. I do not know the guy but having experienced what the PAC12 offers, I am not sure he is the answer. We will see if he is depending on what he does with the HC of the football team.

Interesting take.

Sure wish he was at UCF longer than he has been, hope we can still pry him away anyway.

That's a popular sentiment, but have we ever wondered why? Is it because we think he's more prepared or is it because we feel better because the list of accomplishments is longer on paper?

I'm not a fan of resumes because they tell you what a person has done, not who the person is. It's taking a result and trying to extrapolate the ingredients. I'll be honest, if it's not Frost, I'm going to want to know why, and that's because I feel he's on his way to becoming a big time success. After that question, the next thing I want to know is who the person is that was hired instead. I won't care where he's from or what systems he favors; what his record was or who he beat. What I want to know first is: how much does he hate losing. Skip the questions, and deal the cards.

Nothing to do with resume, does he want to leave UCF after 2 years is my question. I have no doubt he will leave, but I'm not so sure he'll leave after this season.

I think that's a little different than what most people mean when they say that, but I see where you're coming from. I couldn't even begin to answer that. Only one person can, and he has to be asked the question first.

Some people like a challenge. Some people want to be uncomfortable and work/learn everyday. When a school like NU comes calling and you're of a certain age you don't say no.

They are both wearing the right colors!!!

Nice find!  I had forgotten that Frosty and Chipper ran with the bulls in Pamplona.
