Keller article

OmahaPoohBear, if you are so sure that Keller will be the starter, why does it matter that Callahan is charading? Maybe if you look at the entire situation you will think a little differently. By stating that the starting job is open, regardless of how the players feel about themselves individually, they are inconspicuously forced to try that much harder to make it a sealed deal, so how in the world is this a bad thing? I agree that Keller will be the starter, but Keller himself has stated that the competition at the starting job is a great thing because it makes all of them that much better.
If I was a player that had played well against teams the caliber of LSU, it may shake my confidence to have to compete neck and neck against a second-rate scrub. I would like Callahan to be honest about something, then maybe the players and the rest of college football would take him a little more seriously.
That 'second-rate scrub,' at the very least, could be a starter if Keller goes down. Nice choice of words. Maybe Ganz should just quit and follow in the footsteps of Berringer. Oh wait...he completely shocked everyone, played his a$$ off, represented the program like no other, and was being looked at professionally before the tragedy. Nice jab though.

i like the fact that he has cleared the way for Lee, Ganz and Keller to compete. it is only fair to see how far each one of them have come and we all probably realize that Keller will start, HOWEVER it is also good to know what the back ups can do, as it is likely that sometime this year, at least for a few plays, if not an entire series, we may well need another signal caller. let them compete and learn.
Plus, only Keller is gone after this year. The harder they all work and compete, and the more experience they get, the better. Prepare for the season and the future. GBR.

Second hand scrub I think not. Last time I checked Ganz had a hell of a game during the spring game. His performance there put truth to this QB race. Your post's are laughable. :rollin

Second rate scrub? I dont like Ganz that much either, but that is a little unwarrented.

You also have to look at what the rest of the team is gonna think. They like Ganz, hes been around working hard for three years and earned the respect of his teammates. To just arbitrarily give the spot to a stranger would cause a rift in the team.............gotta do it this way and go through the motions to keep everyone together as a team.

So did Joe Dailey a few years back. Do you want that again?
The difference between Ganz and Dailey is that Ganz has done well in the few times we've seen him last year, and Dailey just throws picks and runs out of bounds on 4th down.

Joe Dailey threw for alot of yards in that spring game, but his completion rate was less than 50% and he also threw a couple of picks also.

You cannot compare Joe Dailey with Joe Ganz, 2 totally different types of QB's which you should have been able to figure out by now, with Dailey playing reciever this year and Ganz still playing QB

Dailey had 4 years as a division 1 qb, with more than 1 year as a starter, which is more than Ganz's mop-up duty.

Yep, I can figure out the difference.

the only reason Daily was the starter was because he was the only choice Callahan had, and if i were Joe Dailey I wouldnt want that year on my resume.

4 years as a division 1 quarterback.......what?? You must obviously be including the years that he redshirted and then didn't play, which are pretty much completely irrelevant.

He is just here stiring sh#t. Keller will get the start if and when he wins the battle for the job. I have confidence in Joe Ganz and believe if he is 2nd string this year will do fine when called upon. Comparing Ganz and Dailey is not relevent in any way shape or form. Dailey was not the QB for this type of system and anyone that says he is/was is just talking to hear his head rattle

I guarantee you that Callahan already knows who his starter is. Like everone else is saying, he is just keeping the competition up and doesn't want to split the team by starting a Transfer right away.

Ya no $hit! :nutz

Wins and losses are completely irrelevant, just for the record. The rest of the stats are, but wins and losses definetely don't matter in the grand scheme of things.
