If you don't like my opinions then you need to thicken your skin. Instead of childish namecalling just tell me how you disagree with me. When I saw that "Huskerboard" supposedly "Welcomes all opinions" I took that literally. If you are looking for positive feedback only you should be happy that all but a handful of people on this board to give that to you. If the opinions of 3 or 4 people rain on your parade then you are as pathetic as the Rutgers female basketball player who said tha Imus ruined their entire year for them. Grow up and act like men for once.

There are 2 sides to every story, I'm just keeping it real.

 
That goes both ways. When someone posts something they think of as a positive do you need to reply in the opposite every time. I like having the reality brought into things. Sometimes the reality is positive. I understand where you are coming from, This is not a championship ready team on paper and there are things about this team that there are questions about. There are also some very good things happening and everyone including you should be able to see them.

There is no reason to pump sunshine all the time just like there is no reason to be negitive all the time (not saying you are).

There are two sides to almost every issue whether sports, politics or religion. Everyone needs to remember that there are rules everyone must follow except mods :) oops sorry j/k

If anyone has a problem that needs attention by one of the mods/admin pls. contact us. We try to monitor all of the forums as frequently as possible. It seems that name calling is the most frequent problem. If someone posts something that boils your blood step back and relax and try to not make knee jerk reactions. That is for both sides of all issues people. Remember that the majority of the board all cheer for the same team.

Like I have said before, I have no problem with someone having an opinion that differs to mine, but you have to back it up with something to get any respect. Making negative comments in passing with no meat to them is weak. You don't have to be rude to make your point, just back it up with something. If you are going to make negative comments, then back em up, I welcome a challenge.

Just for clarification - Huskerboard does welcome all legitimate comments. Yours have not been censored or removed, so the implication that the claim is false is patently incorrect. But it does not follow that welcoming all opinions means that everyone agrees with those opinions. As to name-calling, we try to stop that regardless who does it. We may miss a few, or we may feel that the alleged name-calling doesn't rise to that actual level, but we try. An example can be found HERE, where I removed just those kinds of remarks by a poster disagreeing with your post. Another, by another mod, was HERE.

In another post, I believe either you or Bugeater noted that a board that only permitted one viewpoint would be boring. We agree. But you can't have it both ways - you can't expect a board to permit all opinions on the one hand, and on the other berate members that disagree with your opinion.

There is a difference between being realistic and just being plain negative. I'm sure your reason for starting this thread is because of me and I could care less. I don't much care for you so let's just get that out in the open as I'm sure you feel the same. I'm realistic not a sunshine pumper. Realistically we have to strap our helmets on just like the other teams so we will always have a shot at winning every game. That's reality, coming in and saying something to the effect of ......................."With BC we will never win anything!!!" Makes no sense and is just a ridiculous comment. :wacko:

Don't give yourself so much credit. I could care less about you but I have read many posts that instead of debating my view (or others who don't pump sunshine 24/7) we are subject to this childish name calling by many different memebers. I have seen alot of it and I was just trying to address it in one thread instead of dumping on a bunch of posts.

Your opinions don't mean jack to me, if you love me or hate me I'll still sleep well tonight. Even though it is a very special interest to me, there are things in my life more important than Husker football.

thanks for this thread, OmahaPoohBear. We're all Husker fans, right? (excluding our friendly visitors from other schools)...it just seemed like you had something against this program from the tone in your posts. My apologies if I ever came off as a close-minded jerk ;)
