IIRC, he became ineligible to play football last season because of grades and basically dropped out of school. He then got his head straight and transferred to a new school and has a 4.0, but might have done too much damage JR year.
Again, he wanted to play football and he totally crapped the bed his junior year.  He probably was 17 at the time?  That's old enough to have goals and know what it takes to accomplish them.

I will also say, this is a failure of adults around him to.  Probably actually failure of those adults at a younger age than when he was a Junior.

Sure, I'm not excusing him at all. However, without knowing his personal situation I don't want to judge too much.

Word is he is definitely headed the right direction academically but not a for sure qualify yet.

Staff likely pushed his visit so they could do an in-home first to check on his qualification status and save an OV until they are more sure he'll qualify.
Hope he can qualify, this guy can be a difference maker.

Great opportunity to bring this kid in and place him at Iowa Western Community College. A school that is always near the top and is only 50 miles from Lincoln. I have never understood why Nebraska has not used Iowa Western as their Pipeline and breeding ground. What more could you want in a community college as far as proximity and success.

Yea, we need to establish that pipeline; @FaithfulHusker is also a big proponent of that.

Supposedly if he can qualify to Ohio state they’ll make room for him. He’s been quoted multiple times that if he could commit to osu he would.

One thing we can play in our favor is OSU and FSU both have stud young backs in Dobbins and Akers.  OSU has 3 RB commits.

Seems like some big dogs are coming after this kid after receiving word that he might be eligible.  Hope Frost can sell scheme fit and a wide open depth chart.
