Prince Amukamara moves to RB today?

Just announced on 1620 The Zone...

Prince is taking snaps at RB today...

Can't say I'm surprised based on the Lucky/Glenn situation...

Apparently Glenn is now back at practice, but Lucky isn't. :hmmph

This is getting old.

Any thoughts on this?

BTW........why are you listening to 1620??? What's wrong with our Boston Red Sox/New England Patriots flagship station?? :sarcasm

I don't know if I would take this too seriously. Taking a few snaps is nothing. If he's still there before Nevada, then we'll talk.

I dont' know if this is a good thing giving that there are only 10 days left until the season starts.
They're not just preparing for the first game.
Hell this is a great thing! Even though early reports were that Prince was doing well its not like he was going to see any meaningful time at cornre, so get the athletes on the f'ing field! Besides say he does really well at RB maybe that opens Helu to play LB, Culbert goes back to safety, and Thenarse goes back to corner. (yes I have already done a thread on this, its just something I feel strongly about) Bottom line is, Prince is dynamite with the ball in his hands, cant wait to see him kick a$$.

Well, you see that well!...but I absolutely despise the Cubs, so there is obviously something wrong with me listening to these guys. I think they seem to follow CFB more than 1480, those 1480 guys get pretty random and you never really hear much about practices, either. So I guess that's why I follow 1620 more.

Disclaimer: The nano-second 1620 even mentions the Cubs, I shut them off.

I was actually bashing 590 and Matt Perrallt.

I figure Watson, Callahan, and Jordan know what they're doing. Bradon was a pleasant surprise last season, and to be perfectly honest, I've never been much impressed with Lucky's play. That's not to say he won't have a good season, but I'm currently harboring a "you show me" mentality towards his abilities. In my mind recruiting stars are kind of like preseason polls––they mean nothing. What matters is what takes place in practice and on the field.

Castille is the back I'm hankering to get a look at, especially against opponents with a scraggly D-line. We might need a speedster against SC, and then we can shift Castille into the mix. (Which brings me back to last season where I think Callahan had the right idea about how to take down SC––the execution simply wasn't there, and he didn't give up the strategery soon enough to make a difference.)

I really hope to see Glenn come back, too. I kept thinking last season that if they would just let him get out there and play for more than the short yardage situations we'd see a monster develop in front of our eyes. He did well at ISU, for instance. Bradon was definitely the go-to guy, but despite our obvious and warranted nervousness about this season's backfield, I like to think of it in positive terms. Someone is going to step up. Someone is going to want this so bad that they'll get the job done. It might be lucky, it might be Roy Helu. Whoever it is, let's just make sure we show the world this season why Nebraska's power rushing attack was feared for thirty years.

:bonez And USC must be razed to the ground. :bonez

Anyone know how Castille is doing??? The dude is a f'ing monster and looks VERY durable to me???
Wouldnt that be nice to have a durable back again..................
Still doing well? No news is good news? Hard to tell. At least two RB's are going to have to step up if Lucky and Glenn can't get it going. Nevada may see a huge RB by committee, if Cally is less concerned with redshirting and more concerned with getting the best, young talent on the field in a game situation.

everyone is going to get a look or two, especially with the situation we have now at RB. way too early to read anything into it at this point.

:yeah He has been doing a lot of different things for the offense and special teams this fall, so until I read that Callahan said that he will be put in the RB slot, I will think nothing of it.

:yeah

I have a hard time getting worked up about this. Wasn't he recruited to be a running back? Anyways, many RB's miss significant amounts of practice and still start and do well.
