Nebraska could do what K State is doing this year. Get a beatable draw in the first round and play an upset winner in the 2nd round and win. This team won't win vs the Duke or Villanovas of the NCAA. Without a serviceable post player who can patrol the lane and consistent 3 point shooters we are limited. On the other hand we did upgrade our play this year so I am hopeful the newcomers from the last few years can step up.
My thought process is this: there aren't enough 3 point shooters on this roster to compliment what it has in terms of being able to drive the ball. Palmer and Watson can drive the basketball, but there isn't a shooter on the roster that can either hit a shot when the defense collapses on a drive, or keep a defender honest and give the driver a lane. Nebraska also doesn't have a Big that can control rebounding in the lane in that type of an offense. That isn't as big of a deal unless you've got a transcendent talent like Bagley/Carter/Ayton down low.
