How Keller was sold out by teammates, a coach who caved and Keller's journey back

Sam Keller sat on a bench outside his Tempe, Ariz., apartment one year ago. He sipped Bud Light.
He wore a T-shirt and shorts, but the August desert heat was hard to escape. It stays up deep into the night.

Keller had gotten used to that heat in three years at Arizona State. He'd made his name as a college football player in that heat.

But on this Saturday night he felt cold.

I read about his partying from some "supposed" ASU students on the ESPN boards, of course can't confirm or deny but allegedly he liked the snow while at ASU.

i lived in the phoenix area for 4 years and it never snowed there once. maybe that is why he decided to leave, because Lincoln gets a lot more snow each year than Tempe does

Good read...thanks for posting. That would be tough to accept/digest knowing that your team turned on you...but it is all speculation about his partying. What college student/athlete doesn't party???

I hope he tears it up this year and makes to the the big show!!!

Actually, desert heat disappears in the night due to lack of humidity, doesn't it?

Keller offers Callahan an NFL-caliber quarterback, the program's first in 30 years. Callahan offers Keller one season to resuscitate his dream. They came together because of that Saturday in August
Berringer?....Gill?

(Well, anyway :-P It was a nice read)

great read, i think Sam has figured it out. i think he only needed one wake up call, unlike some others who just never get it!
