Friend of mine was just killed by a Komodo Dragon....

He was off the main trail by himself when a 10 footer chased him down and bit him badly. I guess he became disoriented and got himself lost. The komodo followed him around for days until he succumbed to the infection. Some other hikers came across Toms half eaten corpse with the giant lizard still feeding on him. They alerted the park authrities and his remains were retrieved and sent back to his folks in Boulder.

I watched a special on those lizards and their bite is full of very nasty bacteria from rotten flesh of previous victims that is a ideal breeding ground for virulent microbiology. They can bring down large mammals like cows and such just by biting the animal. It is truly a wait and watch situation. DAMN

 
His girlfriend is just devistated. She stayed at the Hotel while he took the plane to the Komodo Islands for his dream trek. The authorities were trying to tell her after she reported him missing that he was probably out visiting brothels and getting high without her. What a bunch of jerks!
