It will be interesting to see how this is officiated.  In general I like the rule.  It's been in place since (probably) the beginning of football.  But when was the last time you saw "spearing" called?  Now we've got a whole new rule that (basically) says the same thing as a rule that I don't know I've ever seen enforced in my lifetime.

But there's really no reason for this kind of play and I think they should enforce it.  It'll be fun to seen the melt-down the first time a running back is flagged for it.
