My perception was Frost was making it clear he wasn’t going to blow up kids phones or tell them whatever they want to hear. It didn’t seem like he was taking shots, just being honest about how they are going to get the right kids.

Which can be seen in his signing day press conference.  The kids they're going to get are the kids who don't need that kind of attention.  And they aren't going to be used car salesmen.
