Coz can use some nickel and dime packages

What a big difference it makes when you have depth at the linebacker and secondary. Coz can now use 7 secondary players against the passing teams . With the starters Bowman, Murillo, Green, and Asante with Jones, Grixby, Wilson, Thenarse coming in for the nickel and dime packages. Last year all the linebackers had to stay on the field to cover the wide receivers because we had no depth. Also the Huskers can now rotate 5 linebackers and not really lose a step. With Rudd, McKeon, and Doc-Oct starting, with Dillard and Brandenburgh coming off the bench, the linebackers should stay fresher. Last year, Rudd, McKeon and Bradley had to play pretty much the whole game. With the depth the Huskers have, fans can now see how really good is Coz. Just a couple thoughts from yesterday. If Bowman and Oct can stay healthy, they will be the 2 players who are going to carry this defence.

Wasn't able to watch the game and I was curious about how Bowman played.

Has he lost a step or his ability to cut and stay with the Wr's??

By the stats sounds like the whole secondary did a fine job.

If this is any indicator of how he did yesterday, I am not sure that his side was ever thrown at and he ran a corner blitz and leveled the QB. A good game for him to ease back into it. The defense was flying all over the place from what it seemed on tv. It looked like there was plenty of speed out there.
