AP Top 25

Michigan and Tennesee both lost and Florida St. getting whipped, what do you guy's think Nebraska will be ranked tomorrow?

I'm not ready to say we should be in the top 10. The true test will come in under 2 weeks when the Trojans come to town.

Tenn and FSU will fall below us for sure. imo, both Auburn and Michigan should as well. So I would put us at 16.
NWIH Auburn drops below NU with a win. FSU still needs to lose, and they should. I doubt both Tennessee and Michigan will drop below us, as I posted earlier.

Michigan should drop out of the Top 25 but they won't just because they are Michigan...they will go to around #20. Lets also not forget Auburn's shaky performance against KSU...we should surpass them. Assuming Tenn drops as they should and Fl St loses........I will say we move to 16 in the AP.

I have to disagree, Auburn looked bad and it's not going to go unnoticed they should have lost that game. They'll fall a couple spots.

There should not even be a poll until the first week in October! Who is to say that KSU isn't really good, rather than Auburn is just pedestrian? Who is to say that Clemson isn't a Top 10 team? Who is to say Texas will be lucky to be 8-4? My point is I am sick of teams getting the benefit of doubt at the end of the year because the preseason polls have them ranked higher than another deserving team looking for a BCS bid! I just wish they would let some of the season unfold before releasing rankings especially since many teams don't get to square off on the field like the NFL or FCS teams to find out who really deserves to be playing for a NC!

I don't like early rankings that much either, but you can judge for yourself to some extent just by watching. It's blatantly obvious when it's two mediocre teams playing a close game rather than two good teams playing. And what I saw with KSU against Auburn was two mediocre teams. I would also say that Clemson is not a top 10 team or even 20 team right now, and Florida St. is just jokingly awful.

But Foppa does have a point with how the voting works, and Auburn may very well not drop because of that. But I think they should.
