i just can't believe the Big XII gets zero respect (sometimes, deservedly so) and then Geogia and Auburn barely beat two of the bottom feeders in their respective Big XII divisions (OSU, KSUcks) and they are still ranked 12, and 13?!?
I'm not saying they deserved to drop real far or anything but I think it proves the SEC is a little overrated.

Our ranking means little right now. That's the beauty of our schedule this year. We will have several opportunities to move up the rankings, especially over the next two weeks. If NU can take out Wake and USC, we will have the attention of the writers from both sides of the country. Polls in September are a joke...the voters are making "educated guesses" (and I use that term lightly), but mostly vote for the big name teams year after year. Ask Michigan how much it mattered to be ranked in the Top 5 last week.

Personally, I'm glad that we're not ranked any higher......more motivation when facing our competition. The only ranking that really matters is the final one.

Georgia barely beat Oklahoma St...? Oklahoma St. got beat pretty handily in that game. 17 is a fair ranking for us.

Geez I was wrong. Auburn dropped and Michigan is totally out. Good for us.
