But...yet....Trump has done so much to mend fences.  Yeah.....making cute names up for people who oppose him....promoting violence against people who oppose him....condemning non-violent protests......motivating his followers to condemn entire races of people.  Ridiculing handicapped people.  Ridiculing sexual assault victims.  

That brings the country so close together into one big kumbaya moment.

You do realize immigrants commit violent crimes much less than other Americans...right?  And....he specifically said that Mexico isn't sending their best.....their sending their violent criminals. Rapists...murderers....This all is to do nothing but pander to the KKKs and Neo Nazi's of the country.

I haven't called all of his base racist.  However, I'm pretty sure the KKK and Neo Nazi's were dancing (marching) in the streets celebrating after his election.  That's pretty much documented fact and he has done nothing to condemn them.

Nope DACA in my view was illegal and should have never been implemented in the first place.  Trump was simply fixing bad judgment by Obama.  

Regarding Mexico paying for the wall, I agree that is a dumb claim he has made and would not recommend it.  And I also have stated I don't agree with everything he states and this is one of them.

Comparing immigrant crime to that in America, you are missing the point.  While we all agree that no crime would be utopia, there are hundreds who have been killed by Illegals that SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE in the first place.  Justifying these acts by pointing to other crime committed by Americans is dodging the subject and is spewing more liberal talking points.  

Regarding KKK and Neonazis celebrating, I have no idea if they were or not, but I am sure that extreme racists groups like Black Lives Matter and the Black Panthers would have celebrated a Hillary victory.  There are fringe extreme elements on both sides and the persistent views of the Resist left crowd to paint Trump's victory being propelled by Racism is just pure wrong and divisive.

Wow...it was a pretty well reported fact that the leaders of these groups celebrated.  In fact, a self proclaimed leader of one of these groups ended up being Trump's top advisor and he's still working on his behalf after leaving the WH.

I would have thought you would know this.

Umm I don't tend to closely follow extreme groups on either side.  Who is the adviser that states he is a leader of the KKK?  

Also, I do know that Obama and many Dems have supported and continue to support hate groups like BLM that have called on the murder of police officers.

Come on....it's pretty well known that Bannon proclaimed to be a leader in the Alt-Right movement that includes both of those groups.

Yep....right at the top of the food chain in our government influencing a President that is extremely easily influenced by the people around him.

Illegal in what way?  I understand that Republicans didn't like Obama's many uses of executive orders......that's why they voted in and celebrate a guy who wouldn't think of using them on a grand scale.......wait.......

Bannon said on his way out of the WH that he does not support or promote KKK or other racists groups, and the the left has tried to lump together views on nationalism/America First with Alt-right messaging focused on KKK/Racism.  What I recall Bannon pushed at Breitbart was a lot of advancement for minorities and gays and I would argue that his views are more socially moderate than that of Conservatives who were affiliated with Bush Republicans.

I will likely not be voting, but if I was or if I do, I don't vote 'Republican' or 'Democrat' - I vote for a person. Your phrasing of the question is revealing of the exact problem. There are people that identify with the Republican party I would gladly vote for. There are people that identify with the Democratic party I would gladly vote for. There are independents, libertarians, democratic socialists that I would vote for. But I would never vote for any of them solely because they represent my 'team'. Such basic ideas are beneath all of us.

Yeah I understand that (not sure what my 'legal' address is to be honest :lol: ), but I'm certainly not informed of much of anything happening locally in Chicago or most anywhere else I'm spending most of my time. And somehow I knew this would completely shift the entire thread.

It’s really not that hard to get informed. If you took as much time figuring the above out as you spent in the politics forum, you’d be plenty informed enough on where you live and who to vote for.

LOL...yeah....and while at Breitbart, he self proclaimed himself a leader of the alt right...which is well known for being extremely racist.  Even though he may have proclaimed that while leaving the WH...he still is pushing issues around the world that make the arian nation proud.
