Game Time

my bad im all mixed up with PST. Would you suggest visiting any attractions around the stadium and town way before the game?
Just get a Runza sometime during the weekend. Unlikely you've eaten anything like it before, or will again outside of Nebraska. Everything else worth seeing and doing will be about football!

I definitely suggest getting and Runza, if you want to go to gameday, from what others are saying I would be there by 8 am if not earlier. A good tailgating spot is a indian resorvation type of place, next to a National Guard center, right off of highway 6 (I don't know what it is called or the adress), but usually parking is $10 and I would say it is around a mile walk

How early do you suggest I get out to the stadium? Basically when do you all start to party before the game!
Hey TrojanAlum...let me say that you have been a classy poster on here, and your opinion is very welcome even after USC is back in Cali after the game. I will be the first to admit that there isn't alot of excitement in Nebraska for someone that is coming from entertainment-rich SoCal...but here is what I recommend...

1) If you get to Lincoln on Friday, check out the Sidetrack bar on Friday night...lots of fun, wear your USC gear, you'll be treated right. Definitely adult-orientated, though.

2) Try a Runza and a slice of Valentino's Pizza...both are available at the game, but probably tastes better away from the stadium.

3) Visit the Haymarket, and enjoy one of the Empyrian Ales, if you like a good beer. Laslo's has it on tap, and has some nice food as well. The beer-battered onion rings are just perfect.

4) The museum on campus (Morrill Hall) has alot to see, if you have kids, they will love it. Definitely a great place to visit. You can ask anyone for directions on how to get there, but it is right next to the stadium.

5) Just enjoy the atmosphere. Sure, there are a few people in Lincoln, as there are everywhere, who may not be cool...but the rest of us? Nebraskans are the best fans in the world, and for a reason. TrojanAlum, welcome to Nebraska, have a great stay, and don't hesitate to chat with us...say hello, make some new friends..you'll be surprised as to how much we like to have a great time with visitors from out of state.

Good luck and Go Big Red...

Fops

Get a regular Runza "Ovenstuff'd" Sandwich (I liked them better when they just called them "Runzas") and a "Legend Supreme" 1/4 lb burger. The burgers are so fresh they shouldn't really count as fast food. They have a nice, home-made flavor that makes Burger King and McDonald's taste like bum excrement in comparison. Of course, you are spoiled with In-N-Out, which is good, but different from Runza.

Duffy's at 14th and O is a good bar with good drink prices. Totally hit up Lazlo's. Good home made ice cream across the street at Ivanna Cone, too.

Hmmm.... I love Lincoln.

What the hell is In-N-Out? Sounds like a sex act... :o

In-N-Out makes the best burger I have ever had. It's just the combination of flavors. The meat, the sauce, the fresh onion slices.

They have 4 or 5 things on their menu: burger, double burger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, and fries. It's only in the southwest US, basically.

Best burger found in Cali? Are you kidding? You must not have been to Texas before...Come try a burger from Kincaid's in Fort Worth or a double burger at Storm's in Burnet.

I have not had a burger in Texas. I don't usually order burgers when I'm at 'real' restaurants, so I don't have much knowledge of every state's flagship gigantoburger. I kind of wish I did, but my arteries are probably thanking me as we speak.

Everybody has a favorite burger that they think is the best where ever they live.
