I can't argue with your logic.  But I've never been in that situation so i won't claim to know how someone should respond.

Why reach out to Mo who used to try to make her watch the video?  Asking him to resend the video, after not seeing it the first time because her mother intercepted it is kind of like asking to be victimized again. The description of the video content isn’t what I thought it would be given that the alleged victim “froze”.  Some things I find odd.

 
This is a lengthy thread about some serious issues, and most of us are having civilized conversations using reasoning, logic, facts (when available), and curiosity, with the occasional bit of levity. Why do some johnny-come-latelies feel the need to start throwing crap around without any intent to contribute to the discussion?

One of the lessons learned in this situation is to not be an a$$h@!e to other people.

So in this thread, don't be an a$$h@!e.

We have to all remember that for the more serious charges Maurice could face here, the question of whether the video of the three teens was assault or not does not actually matter. Going into the weeds on this on a message board probably scratches the itch to just discuss s*** on the internet, but it's not as relevant as a lot of people here think it is to Mo's overall fate.

Remember that the felony child porn charges can be levied no matter what the answer to that question is. The circumstances surrounding that issue are probably much more relevant if/when the girl's family presses charges under the 'Revenge Porn' blanket.

If her mother intercepted the message/video, and told the daughter not to watch it... isn’t it just attempted revenge porn? Honestly? He would’ve still been in possession of course.

There are some holes here it feels like. I thought her quote was along the lines of “seeing that video and being reminded of it took me back to a dark place.” I’m paraphrasing.

Also, why did Mom have an app on her daughters phone to intercept all messages? Sounds like others had harassed her prior, why didn’t they go after them?

I've been very busy at work and this thread seems to add posts quickly.  So....I've not read many of them.

But, this one caught my eye. Just for clarification, you only use this to transport candy and puppies.....right?

 
Crazy to think, in the name of football, how many people can justify and defend what he "allegedly" did.  Win at all costs comes to mind.   Filtering out these types of people, before they ever step on campus would be even better.

I've been kind of wondering something. One source that showed the full conversation showed her requesting him to send the video again. Is that not a request for a video of CP? If it was the girl not really an issue but if that was actually the mom who has access to her texts and she was trying to get proof can she not be legally help responsible for that?

Wth are you talking about? You put allegedly in quotes and basically make the point. People arent defending the action, they are defending intent and people crucifying him before we know intent and real truth.

It's another interesting question. I quoted that exchange a few pages ago.  If she's offended by the video, why ask him to send it again? Was she doing it because she was taunting him back (because he seemed to be taunting her), was she trying to get evidence, was that not even her and it was the police using her phone?  Hard to say.
