I've said multiple times there is almost 0 possibility she will be able to prove it was sexual assault, and I also find it unlikely it will ever even be a legal battle, and there are several reasons to doubt her claim.

But you can't know based on the video that it was willing. Please look up the legal definition of rape. I've posted the relevant parts earlier in the thread. It's like saying if someone looks like they like it, it can't be rape. That is false.

That is completely beside the point I'm making. I am responding to people saying point blank it wasn't sexual assault because the people viewing it didn't think it looked like sexual assault. I'm not talking about how difficult or easy it would be for her to prove her word that it was sexual assault. I've already said multiple times it would be nearly impossible to prove. The boys will never be charged with sexual assault. That is almost guaranteed.

All this is why when I go on a date, our first stop is a notary public.  I have a legal document that states that any possible sexual encounters are consensual that we both sign before continuing on with the date.  Always better safe than sorry.

This is also why I don't get many second dates.

The only punishment I think is appropriate is for MW for keeping a video and sending it to the girl with the intent to shame her.

I have had no opinions of what or if any punishments come to the two males in the video or to the girl if it’s found she isn’t being honest about a rape.  All of that is irrelevant to me with regards to MW because he’s my RB on my team.

I mean... that sounds noble, but if you kicked off every athlete from every sport who said or did something to hurt their ex, half of Nebraska sports would be gone. And that's girls and guys sports.

This kind of "solution" is not a real-world idea. Kids do dumb things. You can't default to the nuclear option because someone offended someone else.

Also, I don’t think race is important in this case. They had a prior relationship it seems and the video might have caused animosity.

Man I just feel bad for kids these days having to grow up in a one strike you are out knee jerk lynch mob environment. 

Yes, what Mo did was wrong, mean and in poor taste. 

But hes a f&$@ing kid. He shouldn’t have his life ruined over this. 

And as Moraine and others have said. Anyone that wants to throw out the “child porn” accusation and act like it’s equivalent to some dude with 1000 pictures of 8yos on his computer can piss off. Not even in the same universe. 

I hope the University stands by him and helps him learn from this. And no it’s not all about football. I’m just tired of our society destroying lives over one mistake
