I will be posting RPI here for both Nebraska and the conference. This will be updated weekly.

Week One - Nebraska's RPI is tied for 125th, SOS is 75, Q4 Record 3-1.

Currently the Big Ten is 4th in conference RPI with Illinois as the team leader at an RPI of 9. The Mountain West, Pac-12, and ACC are all ahead of the Big Ten.

The Big Ten currently has a 25-18 non-conference record.

Week Two - Nebraska's RPI is 91, SOS is 76, Q1 Record is 0-4, Q4 Record is 3-1.

Big Ten is 7th in conference RPI, Illinois has an RPI of 22.

The Big Ten currently has a 44-41 non-conference record.

Week Four - Nebraska's RPI is 17, SOS is 10, Q1 Record is 1-5, Q2 Record is 0-0, Q3 Record is 3-1, Q4 Record is 2-1

BIg Ten is 5th in conference RPI

The Big Ten currently has a non-conference record is 79-92.

Week Five - Nebraska's RPI is 35, SOS is 13, Q1 Record is 1-4, Q2 Record is 0-1, Q3 Record is 3-1, Q4 Record is 2-1

Big Ten is 9th in conference RPI

The Big Ten currently has a non-conference record of 105-113.

Week Six - Nebraska's (11-7, 3-0 Big Ten) RPI is 41, SOS is 48, Non-Con is 6, Q1 Record is 1-5, Q2 Record is 4-1, Q3 Record is 3-1, Q4 Record is 3-0

Big Ten is 8th in conference RPI

The Big Ten currently has a non-conference record of 122-127.

Week Seven - Nebraska's (13-9, 4-2 Big Ten) RPI 46, SOS 55, Non-Con 5, Q1 Record is 2-5, Q2 Record is 5-3, Q3 Record is 0-0, Q4 Record is 6-1

Big Ten is 8th in conference RPI

The Big Ten currently has a non-conference record of 135-129

Week Eight - Nebraska's (17-9, 7-2 Big Ten) RPI 40, SOS 97, Non-Con 16, Q1 Record is 4-6, Q2 Record is 1-2, Q3 Record is 3-0, Q4 Record is 9-1.

Big Ten is 7th in conference RPI

The Big Ten currently has a non-conference record of 145-138.

Week Nine - Nebraska's (20-10, 10-2 Big Ten) RPI 37, SOS 88, Non-Con 5, Q1 Record 4-7, Q2 Record 2-2, Q3 Record 2-0, Q4 Record 12-1.

Big Ten is 8th in conference RPI

The Big Ten currently has a non-conference record of 159-145.

NU will go as far as the pitching and defense can take them.  The pitching has been great against the Big Ten, but I wonder how well it will do against better hitting lineups from the SEC, Big 12, or PAC 12.  NU has a 3-game series against Arizona State in May.  That series will be a good barometer for NU's chances in the NCAA tournament.

Yeah, I could see them blasting through the Big Ten and the tourney...only to get exposed.

That may be about the highest position a BIG team can attain.  The Huskers usually don't keep the top talent in the state of Nebraska as those kids want to play in a warm weather year round program.  Erstad had a solid recruiting class (mostly Nebraska and midwest kids with a sprinkling of Texas kids) this past year and they are pulling their weight already.
