The state of Nebraska has a big thing brewing with the class of 2021. There are going to be several Power 5 players in the state for that class. The best defensive player in that group will be Omaha Westside’s 4-star defensive back Avante Dickerson.
The corner who stands at 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds was back in Lincoln for the Big Red BBQ on Friday night with his mom and they both had a great time. Part of Dickerson’s good experience in Lincoln was getting to talk with defensive backs coach Travis Fisher again.
“Yeah, I did [talk to Fisher],” he said. “It was good talking to Coach Fisher. He taught me some things I can use on the field.”
From where?Anyone else out there hear that Nebraska is not the top choice at the moment? I hope we can do some work and keep this kid home.

Ohio St seems to be building a relationship here. Obviously with top 100 talent we will have to fight off every top school out there. With this kid, I do feel on the field progress will be important to keep him in state.
