MLB 2019 Season

Probably looking at an Astros vs Dodgers series in all likelihood. Astros gave up #3,4,5,&22 prospects in the deal.

At this point, they can afford to give up prospects like that. They'll be regular contenders for the next few years with that rotation.

And still no help with pitching.

While this is true I'm actually o.k with this.  My guess is that Theo and Jed are looking beyond this season for one but while pitching has been the major issue so too has situational hitting.  The lineup definitely needed another bat even though this is not what I was expecting after 2016 given our lineup.

Agree, but it seems like the games we are losing are 5-4 and not 2-1. And, a lot of those runs are being scored after we had the lead and a pitching change is made.

It it would have been nice to have this trade plus one for pitching.

Yeah can't argue with this.  It's a double edged sword.  We seemingly have some great hitters and defensive players on our team.  Also at times we seem to have (when everyone is healthy) some decent pitching but they are both so prone to slumps.  Even John Lester can be dominant in one game and then get blown up in early innings against a much lesser opponent in another.

Maddening no pun intended.
