What constitutes a "successful" season for the remiainder of the year?

Beating Missouri is a Must.

We will go in as underdogs for sure if both are not beaten prior.

Most media/talking heads feel they have considerably more talent than we do.

Kansas will be the same. A must win and Coach Mangino gets his kids ready.

We need to learn to listen to some of the media. They have been pretty spot on about us since the Michigan game. Crystal ball on CSTV lays it on the line pretty close, and even Trev has said the talent to be a National contender is not there.

Try and remember this is not the 90's and we are rebuilding, not reloading, if it is reloading we are in trouble.

First, it begins with Ball State, then it's Iowa State, on to Missouri (and so on)

Success is a journey! So, success (for a fan) is simply enjoying the process....

If that is true and the talent is not there, then I would like the alpha #1 defense of Callahan to stop being "but OMG look at the talent he is bringing in!!!!111"

I gotta go with 10-2 and a win in the Big XII Championship and a good game in the BCS game. If we stayed competitive with whomever I could deal with considering we would have won the Big XII, but if we got totally blown up I would not be happy. Ending season 12-2 would be fantastic!!!!!

11-3

Loss to USC

1 other stumble in the season

Getting rolled by OU in Big 12 N champ (I'd like to see a good showing here but.....)

Winning our bowl game.

Final rankinig between 15-20 is progress. Ending up between 10-15 is where I think we should be at years end.

I think beating Texas would go a long ways. Going undefeated in B12 before the champ game would leave us at 12-2.

I'd say beating MU/winning North, beating Texas, bowl game win. I'll be happy with that.

That would be 12-2, 13-3. Hopefully not lose to KSU.

Oh, and score in the 3rd qtr over 70% of the time.

"We will not surrender the Big 12 Conference to Oklahoma and Texas."
No, it's okay to lose to them when they're better. That's fine. The point of that comment was really, "We will not surrender the big 12 Conference to Oklahoma and Texas if they aren't very good that year." It wasn't about making NU better, it was about waiting for OU and UT to be worse. Oh, he should have thrown "Kansas" and "Baylor" in there, too.
