What Did We Learn - Purdue

I know I don't like for the team to lose.

I know I don't like the football I see being played by the boys in Red and White.

I am still convinced Scott Frost is the coach for this team.  I am still convinced he is a few years out and lots of painful lessons away from being a great coach.

I don't know enough about coaching vs talent to say whether other coaches should be released.  I'm in favor of keeping the whole staff around one more year (based on my admitted lack of knowledge).  But I also know I'd not be surprised to see one or two be gone.  I do know we've seen a lot of coaching changes the last 15 years, and it doesn't ever seem to have caused a better level of football.

I do know the difference between all out effort and lack of effort, and I've seen both on the field this year.  I know one is acceptable.

I know I will still be a loud, proud Husker fan till my red blood stops flowing, but I also know I'll be listening on the radio while I do hobby type stuff for the rest of the games this year, and not watching on TV.

I know many won't agree with me, but I know it doesn't matter.

I dont know how more obvious this is but im going to say it again.  Martinez is not the answer, how many times did he have the 1st down in his sights with his feet and he choose to stand there and look for the pass.  I get it we want the chunk yards but at the same dam time we can grind out a game for a win.  For this game, for this win it would of been just grind down the game and he just keeps trying to do things with his arm when last week they were trying to grind it out with there feet.  They were only sending 3 guys so its not like there werent chances.

I’m growing tired of people calling out Chins.  He has no talent to work with.

Frost flat out lost this game.  He stuck with a QB that clearly didn’t have it today.  If we are honest we really need to question if he has “it” period.

Bye Chin

I learned I don't need to watch this team the rest of the year.  This game today was like which team is worse...they both sucked.  Flip the channel to another college game and it's like watching the NFL vs. a high school game.  Purdue's stadium was a third empty.

Silver lining for no bowl:  We get this awful team off the field quicker so many of their jobs can be gone next season.  Someone said it another thread...this is only going to stop when a certain group of guys say enough is enough.  There are not enough guys on the team yet with this mentality.

So no bowl, huh?  This staff better use the time to recruit some top players...it's s a simple pitch...there are tons of openings to play on this team right away.  There is no excuse to not land some freshman who can contribute immediately next season.  I mean who the hell is ahead of you on this weak depth chart?  Frost wants his guys...so go f'n get them.  #NoMoreExcuses
