At least he's emotional about it. He realizes the defense needs to improve and he is pissed. What else is he supposed to do since no one else is escalating their play?
Alright, maybe it is a bit classless. But you know what? We, as fans, have been holding our tongue about our defense since Cosgrove came here. It all just kind of came to a boil today against Ball State, a team that by no stretch of the imagination should have put up half of the yards they did on us.
So after some reflection here are my conclusions.
a) yes it was classless to boo the defense, but justifiable
B) octavien still had no right to insult husker fans the way he did
c) we need to fire Coz&Co.!

Bottom line: everyone who is a husker supporter is, and ought to be, disappointed and a little upset with the game.

hmm, I guess I just don't understand how booing after a couple really bad defensive plays is such a big deal.
Like i said, it was not classy.. but it was not a huge insult to the players like you guys are making it out to be. It was merely a product of frustration. Were you at the game? I was sitting in the section where all the players families were and there were plenty of boos around me in the couple isolated incidents there were. There was a general frustration amongst all the fans, and on a couple of plays we let some boos slip. Shall we talk about the amount of times the secondary let their receivers slip?
Now... if we had booed them during a play then I could understand the comments he made. That would be completely classless, disrespectful, and plain rude, but that is not what happened at all.
I don't care how bad it is, there is never a reason to boo our team. Pathetic. Go to Colorado.
If you were good enough to play the game get your a$$ out there. If your not keep your fing booing mouth shut.
NO excuse for it. None, never ever. Grow up you bunch of fing babies. Grow a pair. Get over yourselves.
WE as fans are destroying anything positive that might come from this season. Some on here are the worst, poorest excuse for Husker fans I have ever seen. Herbstreith said it best you are embarassing yourselve.
I never thougt I would see this day. Sad day in Husker history when we endorse booing any team let alone our own. Disgusting.
A lot of you have totally lost any credibility you might have had.

I don't care how bad your team is playing, you don't boo them. That's kinda like rubbing salt in the wound, kicking a man when he's down. They know they aren't playing good, they don't need fans to boo them. No matter what you think booing will not make them play better.
