6’3, 230 QB at Scottsbluff that runs like a bulldozer.  Actually has a cannon for an arm too.  Since their 1500 yard RB broke his foot early in the playoffs, he’s been their workhorse.  Had over 500 yards of offense in the semifinal vs Roncalli and like 7 tds.

Can he play LB?

 
“I talked to Chinander and Coach Frost last week and they told me it would be a guaranteed scholarship after a year if I walked on the first year,” Gifford said. “They also said they might still have a scholarship open for me in this cycle, and in the next couple of weeks they will know for sure.”

Also would be an early enrollee - which I suppose would be good football-wise but would maybe mean him paying his own way an extra semester.

Weird to burn a scholarship in the next class if he's going to be getting one next year. I agree. Now or let him go.

Edit: by now I mean scholarship at some point this cycle.
