I'll say. It shows how pampered our defense is for them to think they don't have to follow their captain's lead.

I think this guy's shot at the NFL keeps getting further and further away. Too many injuries in consecutive years to take a real gamble on. He might go very late rounds or free agency. But I think his chances of being a coveted pick are gone. Too bad.

That seems possible, but remember that the whole reason this guy got hyped was because he turned it on late in '05. All he needed was 3 or 4 games to become an NFL prospect (that and his speed, which may have gotten zapped by the knee injuries). He's still got 8 to 10 games left to play before he graduates.

Think it was because he's still "not wearing" his Blackshirt, or because he'll probably be too hurt to play on Saturday?

I think it's probably because he still doesn't think he's earned it back. We may see him on limited basis during the ISU game.
