This loss is on me. Was playing a video game and instead of switching to cleaning I decided to put the game on at the start of the 9th after not watching either yesterday or today. Go get em tomorrow boys, I won't be watching because I am bad luck.

It's a small subset, but compared to last year, it looks like the hitting has improved substantially. Defense seems to be slightly worse...but again, small subset and first series of the season.

We just hope this is pre-season jitters.  Even though relief pitching has been atrocious, a few of them did not look bad.  The main issue I have seen is starting too many batters at 1-0 and letting them set on a pitch.  You would think by the time we get to the Big Ten,  that pecking order will be set.

Let's hope by the time we get to the Big Ten, the record isn't so far underwater that it isn't too steep a climb back to host a regional...

I guess I'm not disheartened by our performance so far. A win by 10 runs, a loss by 5 runs, three losses by 1 run and a loss by 2 runs to warm weather teams .  If we can get Jaxon Hallmark healthy soon and the pitching settles in we can start winning some games.
