Of course it is, but there are plenty of D1 head coaches who wouldn't even consider letting a couple players miss a practice or two....

Obviously Vedral realizes that 2AM is "Frost's guy" and there is no reason to even attempt to compete for the job.  

Frost doesn't care what he does so it doesn't matter if he's there.

 
Are Vedral and Banks really going to get any minutes? I feel like they're still just a backup-backup plan

I would suspect that if the game gets out of hand, Fred will give them some minutes to reward them for sacrificing missing football practices.  Other than that, if we really get into foul trouble or injuries, I would think that's the only way they're seeing the court.
