Iowa State 2008 uniforms

Iowa State has no tradition, so they might as well mess with the uniforms. However, I do kind of like these. Old school college football.

Actually, I wish Nebraska would go back to the shoulder stripes of the early 70s. Maybe throwback uniforms would remind all of us how great we once were. Plus, it would be cool!

I wonder if they think that wearing U$C-like uni's will improve their performance? Regardless they still lack the "uniform" tradition of such great schools as NU, MU, PSU, etc.

I think it's great that Chizik is changing things and trying to start some tradition there. Not every school is lucky enough to have what NU has.

What's funny about the new Iowa State unis is that they had put three different versions to a fan vote on their website. A few boards from other schools (most notably Texas A&M) posted the link and, as a prank, got everyone to vote for the one they thought was the ugliest...which was the I-State version!

Yeah, to publicize 35,000 votes is pathetic..... it proves how ISU football is 2nd-rate (even in Iowa). Lame is what it is...

Truth is, an elite program like Nebraska would never even ask for an on-line vote!

I voted for I-State.

No, seriously, I did. Actually, it was the best of their limited options. But when I heard ISU was considering new uniforms, I had to partake. Their current uniforms are just FUGLY.

I believe there are actually NCAA regulations about Jersey lengths. Pretty lame
