Big Ten Council of Presidents VOTED to postpone Fall sports

Doesn't change the fact it was a complete mismanaged 5 months with no plan in place.....

No offense but that's exactly it.  How do you exactly plan for all of this???  Covid hasn't exactly been a smooth slope.  More like a pretty slippery and constantly changing one.

Right on cue (as the lawsuit just came).

Kevin Warren claims there was a vote after at least one B1G President (ie a required voter) said there was no vote. What?

He sites myocarditis as a major reason for "postponement" even after some medical professionals relevant to the condition have said it shouldn't be used as a reason to cancel. Again, what?

----

At least he's speaking (typing?) with authority this time. I've been on the fence on the issue and at least presenting something makes it easier to understand and accept the decision.

I think the NCAA already said that March Madness is going to happen this season.  And the Lame Ten is going to opt out.

Those were the writers words, not hers.  Notice a lack of a direct quote.  That, in and of itself, is significant.

Perhaps some are being less than accurate with their language, calling it a "vote" when it was more of a discussion.   Seems like a lot of things are being done and said in order to not say something...  Lots of people trying to avoid making definitive statements.

What they’re saying is, Too Much We Do Not Know. We don’t know. We don’t know.

The success or failure of the potential Big 12/SEC seasons will sort this out. Their attempts to play will either be a brilliant example of taking a leap of faith and being rewarded for it, or will be the dumbest thing they could have chosen by endangering the health and safety of the players when they should have known better. Either way, the Big Fourteen can just sit back and find out which of the answers is the correct one. Let the other conferences be the guinea pigs and watch for and learn from the results.

This is the Game Within The Game. The Big 10/Pac 12 vs. the SEC/etc. Who will end up being the smart ones? Who will end up saying I Told You So. Who will win the PR (and recruiting) wars? Who will be The Good Guys and who will look like the villains? And will anybody be playing football in 2021?
