He's the spokesman. He didn't make the decision.

The Presidents/Chancellors of Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Maryland, Penn State, Northwestern, Michigan, Michigan State and Indiana voted not to have football this Fall. Warren then got to tell us their decision.

Also, if we can start in october i think that legitimately opens the door for the other conferences to delay the playoffs a few weeks, if needed, to ensure a legit title is crowned.

I feel like October gives a chance for the other leagues (SEC, Big 12, ACC) to be ok with big 10 playing out their schedule to ensure a legitimate playoff takes place and not one that is just alabama, clemson and then 4 SEC teams competing against Oklahoma for the final 2 spots.

thanksgiving, no shot in hell that scenario exists

 
If we dont have a season in the big10.. what does this mean for recruiting?  Do we now just have insanely ample time to recruit hard or is there going to be some kind of restriction given no season?

Trying to find a silver lining here at the thought of watching SEC football every weekend while our team is parked on the couch with all of us.... gonna be just swell if we have a double whammy of no games plus rolled back recruiting rules with having no official sport this fall and all

Truth.  PSU, Michigan and Wisconsin should really be ashamed.

^Michigan School President on in person learning. He also voted against fall sports. The presidents who voted for in person learning and against fall athletics should have to answer some very difficult questions.

 
All 14 need to be questioned with the one series of questions:

Which of you agreed to keep silent about the initial vote?  Was there more than one vote taken?

Whose suggestion was it?  Who seconded that motion?   Who voted for this pact?

Next for the 11 voters against football:

Why did you vote that way?   

For the three:

Why did you vote for it when so many others did not?

If minutes are eventually provided by Big Ten per suit or FOI, you ask follow ups accordingly.  

How much will the loss be at your school and for the Big Ten?  

Special K questions:

Did you offer your advice?   Why or why not?

Do you plan to stay on as Big Ten commissioner?  At what salary ?   Can the conference survive financially without fall sports if conditions have not changed and there is no spring start?

None of that matters...he is the face of the Big Ten cancellation. All these parent letters are addressed to him. If the other conferences are successful, I would not want to be in his shoes.

Knowing what they know now would they all still vote the same? At the time they thought they would be the leaders and everyone else would follow. No one did but the pac12-  which who really cares if they play or not until USC gets good again. 

So if we did a revote tomorrow I bet it’s not 11-3. Also how many schools voted out of peer pressure and would vote otherwise today. 

 
I found this interesting.  After what is now 2 weeks of fall sports in Ohio, Akron SD reversed course and are allowing fall sports. Things seem to have gone OK here, I hope it continues.  Let's hope if the leagues playing FB have a few weeks of no issues the B1G prez's pull their collective heads out of their butts and rethink their decision.  But, I am not hopeful.
