LSU's Orgeron says defense is already better than Aranda's at 'any part of last year'

Is it "light years" better than the year before? Because we heard this crap from Pelini for years.

I think Pelini will have a good defense there the first 3 years or so, but eventually opponents adjust and I am not so sure how good he is on in game adjustments or deviating from the weekly plan.   Also his style of teaching and motivation tends to be less effective over time for some.   Just my uninformed opinion.

Maybe he can find some OLBs who aren't slow. Recruiting to a place like LSU is worlds different than recruiting to Nebraska...

I think this may end up being a bit of a test towards the criticism or observation that Pelini's system needs a certain level of athlete to be successful. We heard that a lot around here. I was probably one of the people who made that observation, as well. Once they lost Suh and some of that top tier talent along the d-line, the system just didn't seem to work that well consistently. And his staff was never able to develop something close to that level again.

He's already done more than Monte Ball did for the Broncos. If Gordon fails then I don't want another Wisconsin running back ha.

I am gonna let you in on a littler secret...that is every coach.

No coach is going out to recruit the worst players he can to show off how great of a coach he is...

Maybe at LSU he can get some fast linebackers who aren't constantly getting beat to the edge. I'd like to have some of those here, too. God, please, can we just get some decent linebacker play here again? We ain't had a linebacker of note since Lavonte David left in 2011... :cry
