Your 2020 Nebraska Cornhuskers

I love how things are always so rosy this time of year... like young puppy love... then all the flaws come out.. the disconnect.. the lies... and soon it all goes to hell... but there is always next year?

At this point though I'm looking at each game as a relationship rather than the whole season.... I'm sowing my oats so to speak

Random thoughts because the football talk is understandably kind of slow right now.

Everything just has such a discombobulated feel because of the original COVID delay. It's weird to think about how if there hadn't been a delay we would have probably already seen a bunch of redshirt freshmen play in September already that are the up-and-comers in the program.

Here's to hoping the engagement level of some of these young guys is really high as the 9/30 practice start date closes in. Could be wrong but I'm thinking there have potentially been some challenges the staff has seen in keeping motivations high but hopefully we can maybe garner some kind of advantage there and be "hungrier" than some of the other programs we face.

 
Based on the level of disappointment and disgust of the program generally (active response to the cancelled fall sports).  With only a vague suggestion of spring ball, it had to be deflating for most players. 

Opponents had similar issues but we were coming off a long offseason and five years of mediocre results.  It will be a big test to fire up a team to play a ohio state bunch with championship plans.
