The rain delay screwed things up for NU. Povich was dealing, and he had to come out after the delay. Going with middle relief will always be a dicey situation. Overall, it was a good win for NU.

Of course it's a good win and I agree middle relief can be dicey,  BUT it's also fair to question how long you stay with a middle reliefer when he obviously doesn't have command and can't locate.....

NU is playing 4 games in 3 days. Can’t exactly burn through relievers. NU was up by 2, and one out from getting out of the 5th. Unfortunately the Indiana batter hit a 3-run homer. That happens sometimes. Hopefully NU can get good starts the rest of the weekend and not have to turn to the bullpen so quickly.

Bunz is shot for tomorrow, so is Schwellenbach so we have two games we are going to have to get through with arguably our best relievers.

Great points, but according to one “fan” NU needs to be blowing through relievers in game 1 or a 4 game set like Charlie Sheen used to go through hookers and blow.
