NW has the bats that is for sure. NU has been resilient, but not so great at home so far. Should be huge crowds.

Love what Bolt has done with this team- but Schellenbach seems to have lost a bit as a closer and our efficiency for getting runs per hits is down. Bullpen was dominant early- a little less consistent now.  Love how this team fields and battles.

Huskers have to get 2,  3 would be really nice. Indiana is the favorite now, this is a huge series before NU plays them and OSU. Indiana will save their 2 ace studs for NU- that will be two tough games to win, that is for sure.

I wouldn't bet on that considering tOSU has been their problem program. I think they might consider their 3 vs our 3.

Our rotation vs ind/tOSU:

Fri: Our 1 vs Ind 1

Sat: Our 2 vs tOSU 1

Sat: Our 3 vs Ind 2 (I think their 3)

Sun: tOSU 2 vs Ind 2 (3 if they use 2 on us)

Sun: tOSU 3 or 4 vs Our 4

Mon: tOSU 3 or 4 vs Ind 4

I hope youre right- their 1 and 2 are really tough
Their number 3 leads the entire conference in ERA by a wide margin. The good news for us is he consistently pitches on Sundays. Doubt they throw him on short rest. He's the one that threw a complete game against us. Their #1 and #2 are damn good too, you're really not gonna find weak pitching against Indiana.

I'm admittedly just slightly over excited for this weekend. Why?

Because we are in the conference race as we should always be.

Because a sweep, if possible, puts destiny in our hands.

Because the winner of the Indiana vs Michigan series will likely create separation at the top.

Because we are nearing the end.

Because our boys have shown they are staying the course, never quitting, never surrendering, focused with one goal. Winning that day, that game, that at bat, that pitch.

I'm excited and hoping everyone else is also.

I'm excited also so much for the future of this baseball program.
