Special Teams Player
From LJS article...
"I know it was ‘pound the rock’ last year,” Lucky said. “This year, it’s something new.”
What’s that?
“Go out there,” Lucky said, “and do what we can.”
This is a very sad commentary on what they are trying to accomplish as a team, and shows little to no faith in the coaches (IMHO). And yes, even us fans have to take a little of the blame...
Also from LJS article...
“(Shoot), I was mad,” Lucky said Wednesday. “I don’t know, man, because I was just wanting to get after ’em. They were talking too much … fans, Facebooking. I was just upset, just like everybody else.
What idiot fans are facebooking players - like they don't already have enough to worry about with school, football, and a season that isn't going like expected.
I don't mind people venting their frustrations on message boards - players have the ability to not read them. But messaging them on their facebook pages is really no different, IMHO, then calling them and leaving them messages on their phone. They use those pages to communicate with their friends, so they have either to quit talking to their friends or read the comments.
I think the vast majority of people are very upset with the coaching situation. But lay the f*ck off the players. I think they are doing everything they can within the current system. If the players aren't playing with fire then I blame team leadership, it is not like the don't want to play with fire. If there is no team leadership, then I go back to the coaches - what in the hell are they doing to develop team leadership? I've been in several situations at work where a team that I put together to accomplish a task has had nobody step up and lead it. When that happens, do I just sit there and let them flounder??? No, I find was to develop the strongest people in that group into leaders. THAT IS WHAT THESE COACHES ARE SUPPOSE TO BE DOING - DEVELOPING FUTURE LEADERS. Nobody knew that better than TO. However, we will just let these coaches review game film, play with there X's and O's and completely ignore the human/emotional factor in college football. Doesn't everyone see that is what is missing with this team, and the coaches have spent the last four years refusing to address it.
Ok, I'm done now. :rant
