I was in Las Vegas last weekend before the Mizzou game. I was sitting at a table with a man from Oakland and he asked me where i was from. I told him Nebraska and he burst out laughing. I thought he was laughing because he figured i was some sort of hick, but he was laughing because we hired Callahan. He said he was the worse thing to ever happen to raider football, and that he was a terrible coach. It was said i was hoping Nebraska would prove him wrong that night and beat up on Mizzou, but the man just proved himself right.

 
What's more a slap in the face, that, or the Wisconsin fans thanking us for taking Cosgrove.

 
Well, even if he's not very smart about the way he makes his point, he's right. Callahan is a complete failure with regard to the goals we set for the new guy. When you had a guy like Pelini who all the players adored and backed, who apparently understood our tradition, and you march in some new-fangled Pro guy who can't for the life of him fire up the troops or bring in decent assistants, it kind of makes you wonder what the world was coming to that year. But I don't want this to turn into another one of THOSE threads, so I'll skip to the point and reiterate that Callahan was not and will not be the coach for us. The reasons are abundant and sad.

Everyone can hate on BC all they want, but just look at the other alternatives that could be here. Houston Nutt is a complete loser, and there is no debating that. "Stache" is a complete tool. He lost to friggin Navy last night! I'm neutral to hating BC, but I'm all hate for the Pudnocker!

Thats true but I can assure you that the players back the current staff too.

Two points:

1. Octavian was mad because he was removed from the game because he was not executing properly.

2. Since when does be pissed at someone under a tense situation mean you don't have their back. I've been in that situation hundreds of times.
