I was asking if the OWH is even trying with this list of the top 50 players on the team.  I just opened the link again and read "top 50 players you need to know".  That's a bit different than the top 50 on the team I suppose.  My comment was with the first interpretation, and was directed to him bring ranked in the top 30 players on the team with having just arrived, which I think is silly.   He's a name to know I suppose even though DB is one of the deeper groups in the team. He's probably only on the 4 deep at this point, maybe higher come September but isn't right now.

Theoretically a player could be yes, but they all aren't created equally and we're not talking about potential here but where they stand today.  Tyreke shouldn't when he 1. Got here 3 weeks ago and 2. Never even sniffed the field for more than a handful of snaps in 3 years at his prior school. If that particular player is a top 30 player on this roster, at this very moment, then we will struggle to win 6 games in 2021.

Could he turn into a starter? Of course but I was taking the list as a snapshot of right now.

Should be higher. He has the size, attitude and lateral quickness we need. If he can improve his conditioning- could have a pretty big impact in the running back room.

How many players on Nebraska's roster would be on Ohio State's 2 deep made up of 4 and 5 star players? My guess is not many.

I agree, he wasn't on their 2 deep either, hence the transfer.  What are you getting at?  He COULD be a starter right now but why are folks assuming he is a top 30 player before he even practices? If you have something I am missing, some actual game film or something, I will believe you. It's just odd we assume he's already better than what we have. Remember Nadab Joseph? Same story, it takes some time almost always.

All the article says is that he'll probably carve out a roll on special teams and challenge to start in 2022. Where would you have ranked him?

He’s #30. Last I remember, there are 22 starters plus specialists.  Nobody is saying he’s better that what we have….especially the starters.
