Blackout ALTERNATIVE

Since we know that the 'B******' where everyone wears black won't happen here is the idea. I just want a small percentage of the commission!!! :)

Just found a variety of websites that don't do 'Towels' that cheap (lowest I found was about $1 per), but you can get custom printed Handkerchiefs for $0.60 for orders over 50,000...and 'call for pricing' on larger orders. Guessing you could do it for 50 cents.

Back when Nebraska and OU had 'Game of the Centry II' (was that '87?) we had 'Husker Hankies'. I don't know where/who we got them from, but they were white handkerchiefs printed in red with the team logos, date, 'Game of the Centry II' and sponsor logos.

Intersting idea, instead of terrible towel its the Husker Hankie. Could be worse, we could take our shoes off and whirl them around...oh wait! I think the last thing we need is another marketing scheme for Pederson to milk more money out of us.

They would be handed out FREE at the gates. $$$$ to produce them to come from donors/sponsors. He and the Athletic Department need to win the fans back....free stuff always helps.

:yeah Totally agree with the free and the win the fans back, I just don't see Pederson not taking advantage of something like that. :restore

Let me guess on the back when everyone holds them up they spell out Cos Sucks.

No,

This is not creative. This is something that has been done countless times over by schools that want tradition. Nebraska has tradtion. I seriously feel like I am taking crazy pills.

Why can't we leave the "tradition inventing" to programs like K-State?
Why can't all the downers, nay-sayers and people who don't like others opinions be their fans? And right now there isn't a lot of people hyped about much of our 'tradition'. Sometimes it needs a little jump-start.

LOL welcome to the club. :hellloooo :cheers

Waving towels isn't going to do anything for the team and really, should we as fans have to work to motivate our players? I'm just amazed that playing for Nebraska isn't motivation enough and if it isn't, perhaps the coaches should do something about it.

But just maybe the coaches aren't motivated either.

But maybe it does something for a flat fan base...in turn doing something for the team...its a crazy "Unity" thing that I've heard is beneficial to things like teams.

Sigh,

I take solace in the fact that some traditions are so strong and good, that they hold up and withstand assaults on them from little helpers like you.
