I saw Pedy at the USC game prior to the game and he had one of these wry smiles on his face. An "I own the world" look. Wonder if he ever dreamed he'd be canned in a matter of weeks.

And how about Cally...but a few weeks ago people on this very board were exclaiming "extend his contract NOW!" Where are all these guys at now?

Ill be one to fess up and say extend his contract. I think he was the best choice at the time but in hind sight of recent events I think we can bring in better now. I appricate all that Cally has done in the past and he is definatly good at recruiting. But he let his personal preferences aka Coz determine his path. I wish him and his family the best in the future and I hope all this plays out in a professional manner, unlike the Solich debacle.

Do you suppose that Pud thought there would be no way the contracts could be bought out because he didn't think the University could come up with the money, so he gave the extension hoping to save his job for that much longer?
