It's just not the kids, it's the people in general.  And it's not all, but a lot.  My nephew grew up in western Nebraska and he coaches in Omaha.  He will tell you the same thing.

But you are going off of your nephew's point of view.  This is an endless debate, but it's unfair to say that "Omaha kids don't have a state pride" like it's a negative thing.

I was talking about the geographic area. For some reason the OMA has almost half its square mileage in Western Iowa, maybe about 150,000 people.

I'm okay raiding the riverboat casinos for some of our stolen tax dollars, but I don't think we need to target Council Bluffs for anything else.

I agree completely.  You also can’t go off just my point of view as a citizen of Omaha.  I can tell you for a fact what Omaha doesn’t think they are better than anyone else in the state… they just have their own crap to worry about.

Exactly.  It's not that one area of the state is "better than the other", it's just that each area/city has their own stuff that is unique to their area and they have different things to worry/think about.  It's different perspectives and points of view, and unfortunately it can be hard for people to understand other people's perspectives and points of view.

Biggest difference…. Can someone please tell my mother that when she comes up to Bellevue… it’s not like auburn Nebraska… it takes 40 mins to get there from west Omaha.  It’s not just across town. Gosh!!! Lol

Damn, there's some dense people in this thread. 48% of the geographic area of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area is in Iowa, and 13% of the population is in Iowa.

Now class, who can tell me which one of those figures is actually relevant in this discussion? I'll give you a hint: do you think Mickey Joseph is recruiting people to play football, or do you think he's trying recruit a plot of land to pull itself up out of the earth and come play football for the University of Nebraska?

Again read my post. I said all people.  And I have several customers in Omaha and 90% are high maintenance.  You are reading between the lines with very little knowledge
