Is this a one and done player or do we get him for multiple years?

You'd hope he's one and done because he's a first round pick next year.
In this article he mentions finishing his degree before leaving for NU. That second year of eligibility is his Covid year, so I would sincerely doubt he is here for more than one season.

Pretty impressive highlight reel in a position of great need. Hope he can do as well in the B1G as he did in the Big 12

If he has an amazing season we may just have him for one season as he has the type of build to be an early draft pick.
HIs immediate presence will be felt game one. He will force B1G refs to actually call holding against our D for a change. That's worth it alone for me. I kid, kind of. The high light reel looks as though he is relentless. A guy that DC's will have to scheme for. Great job to NU for making it happen.
That was my first thought. I think Nelson could be close to having a breakout year and this will certainly help.
